Tetra Tech & UKREiiF: Interactive Discussions. Innovative Solutions.

The Tetra Tech group of companies (including Tetra Tech, RPS, Hoare Lea, and NDY) will be at UKREiiF 21-23 May 2024 hosting a three day programme that includes panel discussions and drop in clinics tackling some of the biggest topics concerning the UK infrastructure market.

We will be bringing together keynote speakers and topic experts, for what we hope will be some lively, passionate, and interactive panel discussions. We will be on hand to offer our advice and expertise across a number of topics to delegates taking part in this huge annual event.

Here are some of the sessions we’re running that you may be interested in attending:

Tuesday 21st May

How do ESG-led investments minimise the risk of stranded assets?

9:30-10:30am

Climate-related risks, transitional and physical, are the most significant risk type leading to stranded assets. Failing to set and achieve science-based targets and credible decarbonisation plans can leave assets at risk of failing behind government policies and suffering potential loss in value or increase in costs (operation or retrofit). So how do we reimagine our ESG strategy so it’s no longer about ESG, just strategy?

Nature & development: Maximising your value by improving natural capital

1:30-3:00pm

How can integrated design practices maximise your natural capital values and deliver cost-effective legal compliance and better ESG outcomes? Hear our experts explore how a holistic lens can deliver commercially viable, sustainable and resilient development that supports nature and climate recovery.

Navigating the Building Safety Act – developing high-risk residential buildings

3:30-4:30pm

A practical exploration of the Building Safety Act, bringing together legal and development expertise to provide clarity on the regulation, as well as how these requirements can be interpreted in practice. This session brings together experts directly involved in the delivery of high-risk, residential buildings – as defined by the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) – and will share insight gained through live development projects.

Wednesday 22nd May

Delivering new homes: Charting a way forward in an uncertain economic and political environment

10:00-11:30am

Bringing together industry representatives and those directly involved in building new homes, this session will begin with a keynote address by Lee Rowley MP, Minister for Housing, followed by a panel debate to explore the challenges surrounding delivery, current barriers to progress, what the new planning reforms will mean in practice, and how we can work together to accelerate the delivery of new homes.

Levelling up: Unlocking the potential of every person and every place

1:00-2:00pm

Join us for a panel discussion exploring how leaders of real estate, investment and infrastructure can accelerate Levelling Up for the benefit of all.

Levelling Up is success of the whole country, realising the potential of every person and every place. It means fairness, ending geographical inequality, and creating opportunities for all.

Thursday 23rd May

9:15-10:15am

Over the next 25 years, the UK will embark on a £56bn capital expenditure programme aimed at improving quality and security of the nation’s water supply. Leading stakeholders come together to set out the challenge and analyse the impact.
